NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
BAY DAYS TRADITION CONTINUES
Despite the official cancellation of Hampton’s Bay Days, First United Methodist Church of Hampton, across the street from the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Downtown, has decided to continue its Bay Bays tradition on September 12, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Its clam chowder has been a big draw. To compliment it, there will be Brunswick stew, items from a bake sale and for the first time, various casseroles. An indoor garage sale will also be in operation. Proceeds will be used to assist in funding the Church’s youth and outreach programs. All are invited to come and enjoy the offerings.
“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, as long as you ever can.” John Wesley (1703-1791), Anglican Clergyman, Evangelist and Co-founder of Methodism.
